Dupple ("we", "our", or "us") operates Toolradar (toolradar.com). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account via Google or LinkedIn OAuth, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture.
- Reviews: When you submit a review, we collect the content of your review, ratings, and any additional information you provide. Your name, your profile picture and, if you signed in with LinkedIn and gave one, your LinkedIn profile link are shown next to your published review. We keep a small copy of your profile picture so it keeps showing; you can remove it in Settings at any time.
- Tool Submissions: When you submit a tool for listing, we collect the tool name, description, website, pricing information, and other details you provide.
- Company Claims: When you claim a company profile, we may collect your work email, job title, and LinkedIn profile URL for verification purposes.
- Contact Information: When you contact us, we collect any information you provide in your message.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our website, including pages visited, time spent, and actions taken.
- Device Information: We collect information about your device, including browser type, operating system, and IP address.
- Fraud-prevention signals: When you submit or report a review, we store a keyed hash of your IP address, of your network and of your browser's user agent, your approximate country and how long the form took, to spot fake reviews. We cannot recover your IP address from these hashes, and we delete them after 90 days.
- Cookies: We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Process and display your reviews and tool submissions
- Verify company ownership claims
- Send you notifications about your account, reviews, or claimed companies
- Email software vendors about promoting a product they list, submit or claim (see below)
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity
- Comply with legal obligations
Contacting software vendors
If you list, submit or claim a product on Toolradar, Dupple may email you at your work address about promoting it (featured placements, newsletter sponsorships). You can opt out at any time by replying or using the unsubscribe link, and we will not contact you again.
This only uses work addresses: the one you submitted a product with, the work email you verified when claiming a profile, or the one you verified your company's domain with. We never use personal addresses (Gmail, Outlook and similar) for this, and we only write to you about your own product.
We use your name, work email, job title, company, your product's Toolradar page and its views on Toolradar. They stay in Dupple's own sales tool; our sales emails may be sent through Apollo.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in offering relevant business services to software vendors (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). To opt out, reply to any of our emails, use its unsubscribe link, or write to privacy[at]toolradar.com.
Asking a vendor for a demo
Where a software vendor offers it, a “Talk to” button on a tool or comparison page lets you ask that vendor to get in touch. When you send the form, Toolradar first emails you a link to confirm it is really you. Only after you click it does Toolradar pass what you typed (name, work email, role, company, company size and your message) to the company behind the tool, together with the page you were on, the utm tags of the link you came from, the referring site without its query string, and your country as seen by our network provider. Toolradar keeps a copy. A request you never confirm is deleted automatically after 7 days. We do not use these details for anything else and do not share them with anyone else. If the vendor is in an affiliate program that Toolradar belongs to (PartnerStack or Impact), the confirmation screen may also offer a “Continue to” button: it opens the vendor's site through Toolradar's partner link, which carries an anonymous reference and none of your details, and Toolradar may earn a commission if you sign up there.
Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can withdraw it at any time. From the moment the vendor receives your request it holds its own copy for its own purposes and is responsible for it: ask the vendor directly to delete that copy.
We erase your name, email, role, company and message after 12 months. To have them erased sooner, go to toolradar.com/lead-requests/erase, enter your email address and confirm with the link we send you, or write to privacy[at]toolradar.com. To protect against spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile.
3. Sharing of Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Public Content: Reviews, tool submissions, and company profiles are publicly visible on our platform.
- Service Providers: We work with third-party services including Resend (email delivery), Apollo (sales email to software vendors), Vercel (hosting), and PostgreSQL database providers.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Under GDPR and French data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data

- Request erasure of your personal data
- Object to processing of your personal data
- Request restriction of processing
- Data portability

6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than France. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
